During 2017 I spent 1 full week, then 1 day a week for 3 months with the news team.
I attended many interviews, recorded dummy bulletins, updated news stories to the website and edited audio interviews for news.
I was able to watch the way in which the team worked together, and see what happened when news broke unexpectedly
I was given the chance to interview Hull City Council Leader Stephen Brady and former Councillor Martin Mancey.
Councillor Mancey became my go to guy for all things council related until his retirement.
When I think about these three radio stations they all make me smile.
I have spent many afternoons out on location assisting with outside broadcasts in places such as the Coppergate Centre in York, the Great Driffield Show and East Yorkshire Country Fair.
My primary role is to interact with the public, promoting the stations, and finding willing victims to participate in games.
Following a weeks work experience on the Community TV station I was offered the opportunity to return, however this was unfortunately declined due to other commitment.
During the time there I assisted with location interviews.
I was sent solo to the opening of the new extension to the Minster School.
The ceremony was conducted my Dr John Sentamu Archbishop of York. I had the opportunity to interview him following the event.
During my time at Rhubarb Radio I had my own weekly interview spot.
The owner of Trinity Holistics or a member of her team would come into the studio and we would discuss specific treatments and events they were holding.
To truly understand the nature of the benefits I participated in some treatments and attended events where I would interview clients.
I had the pleasure of co-hosting these three Twitter Hours for just over 18 months.
In this time we increased the following and would host live from different events.
Within each of the hours we would interact with followers, sharing posts and posing 5 questions which would relate to the city of ongoing events.
I spent a week with The Scarborough News team in 2016.
During the week I shadowed several reporters, which included an interview with Justine Greening MP.
This was the paper I grew up reading.
